Bishop Larry Trotter, pastor of Sweet Holy Spirit Church is courageously stepping up against crime in the city of Chicago. This is what we need in every city where hundreds of homicide occur every year, we need pastors like Bishop Larry Trotter to go out and pray in the streets and rebuke demonic forces. Years ago when pastors were more seasoned in the black church, they were not concerned about being the next celebrity preacher, but they believed in fasting and prayer and were not ashamed to publicly pray against the enemy. Bishop Larry Trotter is revealing he is truly led by the Holy Spirit to take charge against the dangerous streets of Chicago.
According to The Church Report, there have been over 450 murders in Chicago every year since 2005. Allegedly, there have been other dangerous cities across America that are not safe to live in, for instance: Detroit, Brooklyn, Oakland (Ca.), Atlanta, Miami, Newark, Trenton, Los Angeles and some others. We think it is time many pastors within the black church step up and reclaim the dangerous streets for the Lord Jesus Christ. Often times, various cities become very dangerous, simply because men and women of God are not fasting and praying. In the past 20 years, many of them have sought fame and fortune, instead of seeking God. They have become idols in the pulpit and attracted many followers from their household name and mega ministries. Meanwhile there are murders taking place around the clock and we have not heard many pastors being bold like Bishop Larry Trotter.
This means we ought to make a stand for righteousness and no longer take interest in the prosperity gospel, for too many souls are dying in the streets and even within their homes. This era is so bad, some pastors have either been found dead in their homes and even a few cases shot or stabbed to death in their pulpits. Therefore, it is no longer criminals just taking the lives of people out of the church, but even those whom should be protected by the blood of Jesus Christ. God cannot stop the crime that has also took the lives of those within the church, unless pastors march the streets and pray against these satanic forces that have been ruling our land. We have no time for entertaining the prosperity gospel and worldly entertainment, which has no anointing to take dominion against Satan and his demons that roam the earth. In Job 1:7, it says this: 'And the LORD said unto Satan, From where come you? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking up and down on it.' That scripture was not just in the biblical days, it is also for today.
Pastor Leads March Against Violence in Chicago
CHICAGO — Leading nearly 200 people on a prayer march through city neighborhoods, the pastor of a Chicago megachurch on Sunday challenged public officials and others to do more to curb violence.
"The city has gone wild. It's no longer just gang killing, it's random killing," said Bishop Larry Trotter of Sweet Holy Spirit Church. "We have to try and channel that energy and put it in another direction."
