Brenda McDowell was prepared to see the killer of her late son, Greg McDowell, but Floyd Palmer waived his court hearing. As you know Mr. McDowell was leading prayer service at the chapel of World Changers, International church when Palmer calmly entered and shot him to death. Now, the prayer warrior's family has to wait and see what is going to happen in Palmer's next court appearance.
SCR readers these sort of fatal circumstances were unheard of back in the day when most black churches were more sanctified, and seperated from the world. It is very sad to see this family grieve, but God may have allowed it, because of all the carnality among a lot of megachurches. Nowadays, people are learning about the prosperity gospel, but that sort of ministry is not strong enough to ward off evil spirits, in our opinion. God wants more churches of all races to preach against sin and call sinners to repentance, including them tarrying for the Holy Ghost up at the altar, not for 10, 15 or 20 minutes, but are speaking of at least a couple of hours. As we have told you before, God is not pleased with celebrity preachers, preaching the prosperity gospel and His wrath was and is pouring out among some mega churches. Therefore, there will be no divine protection from angels to stop demonic powers from entering what is supposed to be the House of God, because of all the carnality and greed among most celebrity preachers. 'The misleading philosophies that holiness is a tradition must cease,' thus saith the Lord. What they call old-fashion is not tradition, but is what God wants, living, talking and acting holy. All of the entertainment (hip-hop, rock, rap) must cease in God's House, immediately. God wants all the focus on Him, for in His Kingdom there are no celebrities, not preachers nor gospel artists.
In the meantime, we will be praying for the grieving McDowell family and may Mr. Greg McDowell rest in peace. It such a shame and disgrace he died on church grounds.
