The Freedom of Religion Foundation was allegedly enraged when a Texas high school football team ran through the Bible verse Banner, which read, 'If God be for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31)?' So, the school board put an end to it, siding with separation of church and state, but it all turned around when Governor Rick Perry and the Attorney General, sided with the cheerleaders. They gave them permission to keep their biblical banner at future football games. Saints of God, this is a victory for God's Kingdom, let's praise God and rejoice!
Attorney Mike Johnson and Attorney David Starnes helped the young Texas high school cheerleaders fight their case and now this is the beginning for future victories for all Christians in America, after many years of being persecuted for spreading the Word of God. This victory in the small town of Kountze in Hardin County is now a historical moment for the rest of the nation to remember.
Saints of God, we are powerful warriors in the Lord. If these young cheerleaders can stand up and not back down to reveal their biblical banner at football games, then there is no excuse for the rest of us to ever back down. These young christian cheerleaders defeated the enemy and were very courageous as God worked through Gov. Rick Perry and the attorney general to side with their right to express their love for God. In the body of Christ, we have experienced continuous attacks of the enemy and God wants us to uphold the light of Jesus Christ, regardless of how bad we face persecution. For the Bible reminded us in John 15:20, 'Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than
his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if
they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.'
In the meantime, we will continue to pray for this Christian cheer-leading team, including the football players that God gives them strength in this evil day. This is a victory for them and we pray God continues to work in their favor as they uphold the light of Jesus Christ at their football games.
