Pastor David and First Lady Bridget Montgomery sentenced to 41-months in prison

This is an update for our previous article, 'Bishop David and Bridget Montgomery Convicted on Tax Charges: When is the black church going to just return to saving souls without a mega ministry?'  They both will have spend a 41-month term in prison for income tax fraud.   This is very sad, but the fact remains, some things the black church used to be able to get away with is not so easy anymore.

We want to encourage all of you pastors and first ladies to be very careful when it comes to filing your taxes, because things change over the years and it is so much better to follow the rules.   We will pray for this couple and sincerely pray they learn from their mistakes.   Those of us whom are from the holiness church should feel very sad of the various convictions among our dignitaries today.   However, it is not too late to do better and make sure other brothers and sisters do right in their ministries.  Possibly, when they both returned to their church, they will learn the size of the building is not important, but it is how many souls get saved and delivered from sin.

In the meantime, we will pray for Bishop David and First Lady Montgomery, possibly the federal judge will have mercy and give them both a lighter sentence.
