George Lucas is allegedly retiring from the film industry and has sold his company, Lucasfilm to Disney. Lucasfilm has been around for many years, showing Star Wars on the big screen to various generations. According to Inside Movies this deal includes plans for Star Wars: Episode VII, which is in early development, aiming for release in 2015.
Like previous legendary creators in the film industry, George Lucas will go down in history as one of the biggest inventors of all time. We wish him well, but as usual, things often change after the founders resign from their companies. Hopefully, Disney will not change too much, so fans of Stars Wars will always remember the original innovation.
