Pastor Corey Brooks defends donation to corrupt ex-mayor of Detroit

Why is it when you try to do good as a man or woman of God, some people always want to complain about it?  Pastor Corey Brooks is not like many other ministers whom are leading multimillion dollar corporate ministries, always receiving, but he always gives to those whom are homeless and in need.   Kwame Kilpatrick just happened to be one of the individuals who was asking for financial assistance while facing serious charges.   What is so good about Pastor Brooks' confession is, he makes it very clear the money he gave the ex-mayor of Detroit was not from his non-profit organization.

We need more pastors like Pastor Corey Brooks who does not mind helping someone that many people judge.   Many ministers of this era are trying be celebrity preachers while allegedly straining money out of their followers.   Pastor Brooks is one of the fewest pastors whom has built a non-profit organization to help those in need.   For example, there is a well-known pastor of a mega church in Atlanta who has allegedly set up a system that will only help individuals if they approach the altar and request it in front of huge congregation and he does not make a way for them to get there, if they do not have transportation.  The rule at this Atlanta mega church is, if you have not given a certain amount to the ministry, that is the only way to receive financial assistance.   That is the type of pastor these people should be complaining about, not Pastor Corey Brooks who will help people, regardless if they have given to his ministry or not.

Pastor Corey Brooks is a blessed man and people whom are criticizing him for helping Kwame Kilpatrick do not need to judge.  How many pastors and ministers will walk across America to stop the violence like Pastor Brooks did last year for his Project Hood Walk?  Why don't they complain about all of these celebrity preachers allegedly preaching for fame and fortune, instead of just saving souls?   Those are the type of ministers we ought not to trust, but serious pray for, because God is not pleased with their selfishness and greed.  As we have mentioned before, Bishop Earthquake Kelley forewarned ministers to stop preaching for fame and fortune, because God told him so when he went to heaven and you can go check out the video on our Videos page, if you don't believe it.

In the meantime, we will keep Pastor Corey Brooks in our prayers and also, the ex-mayor of Detroit, Kwame Kilpatrick.
