Celebrity News: Barbara Walters to Retire in 2014


Famous talk show host, Barbara Walters will retire next year.  If you recall a few years ago, she allegedly was going to retire, but instead she continued on with her career as a celebrity in journalism.  However, this does not surprise us, because Barbara Walters was in the hospital and could not even attend the presidential inauguration, earlier this year.

According to WFAA.com,  the 83 year old celebrity was hospitalized earlier this year after falling and cutting her head while leaving a party in Washington and remained out of work after developing the chickenpox. Largely retired from ABC News already, her main work is at "The View," the daytime hit she created in 1997.

We wonder when Barbara Walters retire, will she also no longer produce "The View," especially since two original talk show co-hosts (Star Jones and JoyBehar) have left the show?   Whatever happens, we certainly wish her the best.  She is a legend who has done a great job for over a half a century.
