Half a Million Churches to Pray for Persecuted Believers on International Day of Prayer


On International Day of Prayer, about a half a million churches will honor persecuted Christians around the world on November 10. That day is a very special day in the 21st century, because as you know many Christians have been spiritually attacked for serving and obeying Jesus Christ.  In America alone, Christians have been persecuted for preaching against homosexuality, having prayer and bible study in their own homes and reading their bibles in the workplace. 

According to ChristianPost.com, Christians in Nigeria, for example, pray for other persecuted believers in the Middle East, said Dykstra. A century ago about 20 percent of the population in North Africa and the Middle East was Christian, according to Open Doors, but Christ-followers now make up only four percent of the population there due to persecution.  

Let us all join our brothers and sisters in Christ on November 10th and pray for each other.  God bless you.
