Christian College President Speaks Out on Potential Reversal of Ban on Faculty Gay Relationships

In our opinion, it does not make sense for the president of EMU. Loren Swartzendruber to explain his decision to allegedly reverse the ban on gay relationships.  Only God will judge him, because He already forewarned us in His Word, it is a sin to have homosexual relationships.  Therefore, explaining his decision seems like he just wants people to understand why he may compromise against God's commandments.    

According to,  Swartzendruber, who has been president of EMU since 2004, announced on Nov. 18 that the school would embark on a six-month "listening period" where students, faculty, staff, donors, parents and alums will be asked to share input with the administration on whether the institution should reverse its ban.  

In the meantime, we will keep this college in our prayers and sincerely hope Loren Swartzendruber repents for considering opposition to biblical laws against homosexuality.
