Members of Church in Bakersfield, California Upset After Receiving Letters Banning Them

Of course, we did a previous report when Pastor Antonio Alfred was faced with being voted out of his position.  Now, in 2015, the latest news is that he allegedly sent out letters, informing a few church members that they cannot attend, because of 'offensive behavior.'   According to our source, one letter reads, “You can no longer hold office, vote, attend business meetings, participate in Communion and acquire our facilities at no charge.”

According to BlackChristianNews.com, civil case from 2013 against Pastor Antonio Alfred ruled in favor of church members wanting to vote him out, an email from St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church said.

According to BlackChristianNews.com, in the meantime, Pastor Alfred sent letters out to certain members, banning them from attending, citing “offensive behavior.”

Possibly, these church members were causing such a disturbance, he could have lost his focus while preaching God's Word or just felt uncomfortable with them there, especially is they disrespected him.  Of course, we don't know all the details, but there has to be a reason these church members were no longer allegedly welcomed at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, of Bakersfield California.

In the meantime, we will hold Pastor Antonio Alfred and these church members up in prayer.  We pray for God's healing in that church. God bless you and thanks for reading SCR.
